Outstanding Interdisciplinary Performance Award — Yoonwoo Ha #
Yoonwoo Ha’s Techno on Canvas has been recognised with the Outstanding Interdisciplinary Performance Award as part of the post-symposium documentation for Intelligences from the Underground 2026.
Presented during the evening performance at The Old Hairdressers, Glasgow, on 29 June 2026, Techno on Canvas brought together live electronic music, abstract painting, custom-built instruments and robotic systems within a single performance environment.
The award recognises the work’s originality, artistic quality and interdisciplinary approach — particularly its integration of electronic music performance, visual art, instrument-building and creative technology, placing improvisation, embodied interaction and human artistic decision-making at the centre of the performance.
